BiArch_Bari International Archifestival “MARGINI, CONFINI, FRONTIERE”
BiArch is the result of a broad project which has involved, during the year of its development, institutional stakeholders and those promoting an active citizenship, soliciting participation and civic protagonism. The result of this shared work is twenty days of events for the city, capable of fueling a collective and transdisciplinary path of reflection on the relationship between architecture and the city, from which a more conscious demand for urban quality can arise.
Jointly organised among many others by the community of Bari and the Politecnio di Bari the festival will feature various exhibitions, lectures and workshops throughout September and October 2021.
On 13th Septermber the conference “MARGINI – Il progetto della forma della città aperta” with a lecture by Prof. Uwe Schröder will kick-off the workshop “MARGINI – GreenVille”, which is part of a series of workshops: BlueVille, Greenville, Port within the City. The Department of Spatial Design is invited to contribute a design project on occasion of the workshop dealing with the contemporary question of the periphery. The final projects will be showcased in an exhibition in the Palazzo della Provincia from 18th September until the end of October.
Project team leader: Uwe Schröder; academic assistants: Nicola Carofiglio, Oliver Wenz; student assistants: Maria Cazzorla, Antonella Cerabino, Elisabetta Chieppa
